  • CommentaryWith numerous drawings and illustrations (plans, models, scenes, calculations and diagrams), which can also be projected on screens, Atelier Van Lieshout continues its design of its ›City of Slaves‹. The diagrams in the collection define the criteria for a pitiless selection process carried out by machines. This begins immediately with the arrival of the ›participant‹ in the ›welcome center‹. Only very few people are suitable for work. Young and healthy slaves become part of the transplantation program, other »unappetizing« human bodies are immediately used for biogas. The models for this high-tech exploitation are naturally recycling processes, which return all organic materials to the biological cycles completely and free of residues.
